Three Australian States are still pursuing a laughably flawed, universal Covid vaccination policy. Along with the almost inevitable, palpably vindictive punishment of dissenters. But being mean AND tricky, they are seeking to do it under the radar, with bureaucrats doing the dirty work of sheepish, ever-silent politicians. But they have been outed.
In New South Wales, at least one Local Health District is making its staff get a (third) booster shot, on pain of probable dismissal. Perhaps all of them are. This is despite the NSW Premier’s assurances on Sydney radio:
ON JUNE 7, 2022, NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet told 2GB’s Ben Fordham that his Government was ending vaccine mandates.
Mr Perrottet said he had “made it very clear that we are ending vaccine mandates” and had met with top bureaucrats to ask them to do so.
“They are working through those risk-based assessments and I expect them to come back to me shortly,” he said. “I expect them to implement my direction.”
https://politicom.com.au/covert-vaccine-mandates-remain-in-force/
My story was the result of my discovery of an emailed memo to staff from the District’s CEO. Clearly NSW Health is NOT following the Premier’s “direction”. So much for the much heralded “conservatism” of the NSW Premier.
North of the Tweed in Queensland, the home of the formerly trumpeted but now empty, billion-dollar Covid quarantine camp, it emerged last week that the Education Department is punishing the now reinstated, unvaccinated teachers they desperately needed to ask back in the face of system-wide teacher shortages. Thanks to a leaked email, again. The Australian Broadcasting Commission’s headline reads:
Queensland teachers and staff to get pay docked for 'failing to comply' with COVID vaccine mandate.
900 of them. The story continues:
Queensland's Education Department is docking the pay of 900 school staff who did not get the COVID vaccine, saying that ignoring the mandate put others at risk.
Staff members including teachers, teacher aides, administration staff, cleaners and school officers will have a "small-scale temporary reduction of one increment of pay" for 18 weeks, the department said.
"Approximately $25-$90 per week gross, proportionate to the normal pay that a staff member receives," a spokesperson from the department said.
"The disciplinary penalty imposed on staff are individualised to each person's circumstances."
How very thoughtful that they are “individualising” the penalties. Putting to one side the ethics and possible legality of this, of course, it is all based on a lie. Even if they didn’t know then, they must know now that there was zero risk involved in allowing pure bloods into classrooms and schools. And it is now that the financial punishments are being imposed.
The word “unprecedented” has become a cliché in the Covid era, but this surely takes the cake. It is pure vindictiveness, as the unusually named Queensland Education Minister Grace Grace (who appears to be utterly without it) sits by and allows it all to proceed. She could stop it in a minute.
Unusually for these times in Australia, even the Union is outraged by the Covid State’s tentacles:
Educators are “horrified” over a plan that will see Queensland teachers docked pay if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
A letter issued from the Department of Education has left hundreds of teachers reeling, and Teachers’ Professional Association secretary Tracy Tully said it was an “outrage”.
She told Today the decision was not made on health grounds, as the teachers would still be allowed in the classroom.
She said teachers who refused to get vaccinated had already been stood down without pay during the pandemic.
"They did not break any laws by not following the direction," Tully said.
Tully said the pay cuts would happen "immediately", and that there had been no consultation.
Sadly, there is no such support from the Health Services Union for the NSW health workers being ordered to get the third jab. I am informed that they just do not want to know. Most spineless unions in Australia have preferred to follow the “Covid safe” practices of employers than to protect the most basic rights of their members.
Meanwhile in Western Australia, the Police Commissioner is pursuing 70 police officers for the crime of being unvaccinated.
More than 50 West Australian Police officers who refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine will now be subject to disciplinary action after losing a legal fight on Tuesday.
Police officer Ben Falconer spearheaded the Supreme Court challenge, supported by dozens of his colleagues and other workers also subject to the state’s vaccine mandates, which required about 1 million people to get the jab before January 1, 2022.
In three states, we are paying the penalty for nil opposition from political parties not in office who have gone along with the Covid fantasy. Just as we are paying the price for having no opposition from the media outlets who might have been able to stir governments into defending gaslit minorities. Oh, I forgot, it was the governments leading the gaslighting, the silencing of dissent, the dismissal of counter-narratives. The law? Not a single court in Australia has stood up to defend human rights in this country.
Here is what the semi-literate judge (one Justice Allanson) said about Ben Falconer’s case:
The measures that were taken were undoubtedly extraordinary, but that does not establish that they lacked rationality so as, for that reason, to be beyond power.
https://spectator.com.au/2022/08/ben-falconers-loss-highlights-was-terrible-laws/
While discerning what the Judge means is a tad difficult, I take it to mean that even if the law is an ass, it is still the law, and it isn’t my job to even question, let alone overturn, bad law. As for rationality, well, students of political theory and even the most casual observer of Covid policies across the globe will surely know by now that lockdowns and all of the other egregious infractions of our freedoms and rights bore zero resemblance to anything that could remotely be called “rational”. The rational actor model of policy went out with the ark. The Covid class of politicians were driven by false faith in “experts” who patently were not, panic, fear of electoral retribution in the face of rising deaths on their watch, the yearning to be “doing something”, and a willingness (given all this) abruptly to overturn half a century of settled science in relation to pandemic management. There wasn’t a rational decision-maker in the house.
So, no, Judge, they weren’t being rational, and you might well have said as much. Perhaps it has been the American Bill of Rights that has empowered some American judges to act on behalf of the people rather than hiding behind wafer-thin arguments about the sanctity of bad laws relating to emergencies, emergencies deemed to be so by unelected officials who were given absolute power through the back door of delegated legislation, beyond the reach of parliamentary scrutiny.
Ben himself wasn’t surprised by the verdict.

What about the possibility of successful civil actions against the authorities by those victimised by the State and its fellow-travellers? Here is Craig Kelly talking about the medical regulatory body, vaccine harms and the proscription of Ivermectin:
I have been warning for over 18 months that government bureaucrats including AHPRA public officers had likely exposed themselves personally to be sued for Misfeasance in public office.
They continued to push the vaccines, when it should have been reasonably foreseeable that they were ineffective & would cause injury & death.
They banned and continue to ban Australians accessing HCQ & Ivermectin through their doctor when it was reasonably foreseeable that ban would cause injury & death by denying Australians access to medicine
And now a legal opinion has been issued confirming exactly what I’ve been warning of.
Again my advice to our Government Health Bureaucrats & AHPRA:
1) urgently seek advice of good accountant
2) Buy a one-way ticket to a nation that does not have an extradition treaty with Australia

What accounts for the continued, spiteful actions of government employers at a time when the whole world now knows that vaccine mandates were a croc? Several plausible hypotheses are suggested:
· Governments and their overpaid bureaucrats are inherently spiteful;
· Governments hate being shown up as fools, as being grievously wrong;
· Governments have been encouraged to pursue Covid tyranny by compliant electorates (which, in some cases in Australia, have rewarded Covid fascism handsomely at the polls), and they believe that we-the-people are still fundamentally pro-vaxx;
· Governments fear a mass revolt from the reluctantly vaccinated, and so wish to keep on-side the sheep who went along with the vaccination narrative, but who now might be having doubts about its efficacy. So, they retrospectively punish the recalcitrants.
After all, they are doing other things to keep the vaccine story going. Witness the still-playing television and radio adverts urging us on to further boostering because “vaccines are still the best defence against illness”. Like all the other lies, this, too, is a shameless prevarication being paid for by the taxpayer.
There is another simple explanation, of course. Because they can.
I would hate to think that the gauleiter-bureaucrats now punishing their employees actually still believe that the unvaccinated pose a medical threat to the vaccinated. I prefer to believe that they are self-interested butt-coverers scared of being revealed to be culpable fools with big egos to go with their salaries and power.
Meanwhile, NSW health workers continue to be harassed to get the third and, no doubt, subsequent jabs. Western Australian police are punished. Queensland teachers have their pay packets docked. The limp-wristed legal system waves it all through. Nothing to see here.
The Covid State lives on. A failed state, of course, but one which, relying on raw power, fear and nothing else, is beyond the reach of rational argument and evidence-based policy. Paraphrasing Mark Steyn, and despite all of the recent, peer-reviewed confirmation of our own earlier conviction that the Covid vaccines were unnecessary, useless and dangerous, it is clear that you cannot reason decision-makers back to sound policy. Force is the only answer.
There was one show of (peaceful) people power in Australia in February, when upwards of half a million people joined a “convoy to Canberra” to protest the Covid tyranny. In the spirit of the Canadian truckers and the Dutch farmers, the scenes in the nation’s capital were affirming and euphoric. It was one hell of a statement, as they stood defiantly on Capital Hill right in front of Parliament House. Optimistically, the author of a book about the convoy, John Stapleton, sub-titled his work “the day Australia changed”.

Well, I am very much afraid that the nation hasn’t changed. If it had changed, then perhaps some of the hundreds of thousands of private sector workers still subject to vaccine mandates (recently identified by Rebecca Weisser in The Spectator Australia) would have been freed from them.
With such a tiny fraction of healthy, unvaccinated people of working age dying of Covid in Australia’s most populous state, during the worst three months of the pandemic, how is it possible that vaccine mandates are still in force in so many workplaces? Former Australian deputy chief health officer Dr Nick Coatsworth wrote in mid-July that there is ‘no longer a public health rationale for businesses terminating employees for failing to be vaccinated’. Yet some of the nation’s biggest employers –Coles, Woolworths, Qantas, Virgin Australia, Telstra, the Commonwealth Bank and SPC – are still forcing workers to get vaccinated or boosted.

Quite the list of major companies.
If the nation had changed, do you think that the governing classes would simply have ignored the Canberra protest in February and that petty dictators across three states would be partying like it was 1936 in Germany?

Love this. Help identifying that tyranny always fails in their business model. The resources needed to support the teetering edifice they construct breaks down and wreaks the foundations that had so carefully constructed. When the dam breaks it will break wide open. Tyranny depends on precise, careful bureaucracy. When the bureaucrats come under threat they discover the ruse and desert the sinking ship. Tyranny cannot survive without dedicated bureaucrats.
The union which came out in defense of Grace Grace's victims is not the only union representing teachers in QLD. The main one is the QTU who supported the minister et al - typical QLD corruption.
In spite of the presence of deadhead judges in the system I think that the use of class actions would be a productive way to go. There are plenty of ambulance chasing legal firms who would be happy to take up this challenge with the strong chance of a substantial payout as a reward.
This tactic has the advantage that it captures the attention of the establishment and their fawning MSM friends. Maybe even the sheep would notice.
I have been to more than a few marches and rallies about this issue but I don't think we are getting anywhere. For a demonstration to have any effect there needs to be really big numbers and that is just not going to happen in this nation of complacent cud chewers. It is just too easy for the VIPs (Vermin In Power) to ignore a few thousand marchers.
On another aspect - there are reliable figures coming out of North America and Europe re the casualties from the "vaccines". The same regime has been imposed on Australia but there is a deafening silence here on this issue.
Maybe the denizens of Oz are so tough that we can imbibe any poison and just waltz away unharmed. Who could have known?
