If Julie Inman-Grant – in Peter Dutton’s estimation an outstanding Australian (sic) public servant – ever feels lonely in her quest to kill free speech by shutting down all that is worthwhile about the internet, then she might take heart from her former fellow countrymen, John Kerry and Bill Gates.
Let’s start with Bill, described by the British Broadcasting Corporation as “the voodoo doll of Covid conspiracies”. A sort of benign uncle in a cardy.

Here is Bill Gates, as reported:
In interviews this month with CNBC and CNET, Bill Gates said we “should have free speech” but not “if you’re inciting violence, if you’re causing people not to take vaccines.”
And again:
“The US is a tough one because we have the notion of the First Amendment and what are the exceptions like yelling ‘fire’ in a theater. … I do think over time, with things like deepfakes, most of the time you’re online you’re going to want to be in an environment where the people are truly identified, that is they’re connected to a real-world identity that you trust, instead of just people saying whatever they want.”
Well, as a massive investor in vaccine manufacture, he would say that. Oh, and he reprised his advocacy of eliminating anonymity on the internet. Something that Albo and friends down under will take care of via the banning of teenagers from social media.
Here is what Kerry said:
At the World Economic Forum Sustainable Development Impact meetings in New York City Wednesday, John Kerry, the Biden-Harris administration's former climate Czar and former secretary of state, claimed the First Amendment is not so much about protecting free speech but about putting “disinformation… out of existence.”
"If people go to only one source and the source they go to is sick and has an agenda and they’re putting out disinformation," he said, "our First Amendment stands as a major block to the ability to be able to just hammer it out of existence."
Kerry claimed that “dislike of and anguish over social media is just growing and growing and growing” and that it is a “problem” in democratic countries because it is hard “building consensus around any issue” and “to govern.” The former secretary of state spoke of a pre-social media age where there were media “referees” who used to “determine what’s a fact” for Americans.
He said discussion should focus on “how you curb those entities” in the social media and to “have some accountability on facts. But look, if people go to only one source, and the source they go to is sick and, you know, has an agenda and they're putting out disinformation, our First Amendment stands as a major block to the ability to be able to just, you know, hammer it out of existence.”
Kerry suggested that “democracies are very challenged right now, and have not proven they can move fast enough or big enough to deal with the challenges that we are facing. And to me, that is part of what this race, this election is all about. Will we break the fever in the United States?”
The former US senator was infamously accused of breaking wind – a toxic emission to climate change enthusiasts – at an environmental conference in Dubai in 2023. (Emphasis added).
Yes, Kerry’s 2023 embarrassing indiscretion has been widely reported. If only his contributions were confined to the kind exemplified by his infamous Dubai emission.
It is very clever to turn around one’s attempted destruction of the First Amendment and to present it as a strategy to save the First Amendment. I get it. Free speech is about preserving the free speech of governments by shutting out dissidents would don’t wish to build a consensus. I think Orwell had a term for this.
One thing about the statements by Gates and Kerry. It must surely kill off any remaining doubt that the elites do wish to exterminate free speech in a quest for total political control. They do say the quiet bits out loud.
Here is what John Leake said about Kerry’s younger days:
When I was an undergraduate at Boston University, the then Senator dated my 22-year-old girlfriend’s best friend, and he was gracious enough to include me and my girlfriend on dinner dates. Apparently to improve the optics of going on a double date with undergraduates, the Senator usually invited a couple of his political cronies to join us.
He was always extremely polite, and I was grateful to him for allowing me to tag along. On his mother’s side he was descended from the Shaw family—an old Yankee clan that included Robert Gould Shaw, commander of the famous 54th Massachusetts Regiment during the Civil War. I too descend from an old Yankee family (the Sears) on my mother’s side, and I often tried to engage him in conversation about American colonial and early federal history, but he never showed much interest. While he served in the Navy during the Vietnam war, my father served in the Marine Corps, but I couldn’t get him to engage on the subject of Vietnam either.
It’s fair enough that he had no interest in speaking frankly with a male undergraduate about history and political philosophy, and I never begrudged him for it. He was interested in my female friend. Nevertheless, his cool aloofness struck me as strange, because I’d never had trouble before in getting an older gentleman to engage me in conversation about history and philosophy. I ended up wondering if maybe he just wasn’t interested in these subjects.
For some time it has occurred to me that our ruling class is no longer interested in the American Constitutional Republic that Madison, Adams, et al. bequeathed to us. Maybe Kerry’s statement at the WEF meeting is the naked truth of how he and his colleagues feel—that is, that the First Amendment is “a major block” to governing the people as they see fit. In making such statements, he seems to be expressing the desire for oligarchic power, unimpeded by Constitutional restraints.

Indeed. Americans talking about their Constitution and their Founding Fathers somehow seems almost quaint now, such is the total break by our current age from any sense of proportion, history or context. The elites want total power, whatever it takes, rules or no rules, and the mug punters don’t even know they are doing it, or why it is both significant and abhorrent.
For Kerry, the coming US election is all about that control. “Preserving democracy”. It is a dual strategy – rig elections by any means possible, to eliminate opposition at the political level, and eliminate opposition everywhere else through the destruction of free speech. Clearly, for the progressivist left, controlling the media, the universities, the schools, the bureaucracy, the NGOs, the corporates and the supra-nationals just isn’t enough.
The coming election is that important, John “I’ll never vote for Trump” Howard. The Catturd has quoted Elon Musk as follows:
Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!
Let me explain: if even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that the Democrats are expediting as fast as humanly possible, that would be about 2 million new legal voters in 4 years.
The voting margin in the swing states is often less than 20 thousand votes. That means if the “Democratic” Party succeeds, there will be no more swing states!!
Moreover, the Biden/Harris administration has been flying “asylum seekers”, who are fast-tracked to citizenship, directly into swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Arizona. It is a surefire way to win every election.
America then becomes a one-party state and Democracy is over. The only “elections” will be the Democratic Party primaries. This already happened in California many years ago, following the 1986 amnesty.
The only thing holding California back from extreme socialism and suffocating government policies is that people can leave California and still remain in America. Once the whole country is controlled by one party, there will be no escape.
Everywhere in America will be like the nightmare that is downtown San Francisco.

Elon Musk has emerged as a serious bulwark against his tech peers and against the deep state. He is, as W F Buckley Jr would have said, “standing athwart history, yelling stop!”
Musk is not alone stateside, mercifully. An assembly of worthy dissidents gathered in Washington DC on Sunday to “rescue the Republic”. They included Covid tyranny warriors like Robert Malone, Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr, Bret Weinstein, Matt Taibbi, Russell Brand, Jordan Peterson, and others.
Taibbi said, succinctly:
"The end game is not controlling speech. They’re already doing that. The endgame is getting us to forget we ever had anything to say."

This is very true, and very perceptive. It is part of the elites’ masterful memory-holing strategy. This is the plan to normalise evil by locating it in the broader context of wall-to-wall bread and circuses, the twenty-four hour b.s. “news” cycle, and reducing everything to “nothing to see here”. This way, the capacity to see the really important stuff being done to us is all but removed, almost at a stroke. Everything is either benign, boring or stupid.
Two recent examples of memory-holing will suffice. The first is the now ho-hum Trump assassination plot. (Yes, singular; one plot, many attempts). The second is the latest heresy/blasphemy by Our Man in Rome. There are just so many that, in the end, you stop trying to keep up. So, after a time, you cannot even remember the previous abomination from the man in white. The anti-pope, as some call the current occupant of the See of Peter.
Normalise evil, make it redundant. Memory-holing can be immensely effective. See also, of course, under Covid. Yes, indeed, at Taibbi opines, we will forget that we had anything to say.
There is pushback in Australia, too, against the war on free speech. One speaker at the recent Sydney protest rally pushing back against the Albo-Rowland-Inman-Grant totalitarian play was a pregnant woman not known to anyone as a public figure. She said:
I am pregnant with my first child ……
I don't want to raise my daughter in a country with a Ministry of Truth.
I don't want to raise my daughter in a country where she can be silenced for her opinion.
I don't want to raise my daughter in a country where she cannot have open discussions on the issues that matter to her.
I don't want to raise my daughter in a country where she is unable to decide for herself what is mis and disinformation …..
This Bill must be obliterated.

Will it be enough, given our rogue Senate? The protesting discontents and assorted petition-signers, so alarmed (no doubt) by John Kerry’s recent ejaculation at the WEF – at his gall as much as at what he actually said about free speech – must rouse themselves to get to the magic per cent cut-through number and so make enough noise as to be scary for our rulers who, whatever their relationships of dependency and obsequiousness with their globalist puppeteers, still wish to remain in office and to luxuriate in the whiff of parliamentary leather.
Otherwise, as a growing number of Americans are saying, we are doomed. The former Covid tsar, Dr Nick Coatsworth gets it.

Even PVO gets it:
A wild new 'conspiracy theory' is spreading about how the government is trying to stifle your free speech - only this time it's actually TRUE.
You have to love the irony of politicians - who let's face it mislead for a living - wanting to ram through new 'misinformation laws' that won't apply to them but do apply to the average Australian.
While the political class can continue to speak freely, including in parliament - excluded from the new laws - pedalling false narratives that suit their purposes whenever they like, the rest of society risks being hauled before a specially convened star chamber to prove their innocence when accused of spreading falsehoods.

Speaking of irony …
Meanwhile, in the Fourth Reich (which I recently visited), we have this from C J Hopkins:
So, the Berlin Appellate Court overturned my acquittal today. I am now, officially, at least according to the New Normal German authorities, a “hate-speech” criminal. I’m officially a “hate-speech” criminal because I compared New Normal Germany to Nazi Germany, and I challenged the official Covid narrative, and I used the cover art of my book to do it.
The New Normal German authorities didn’t like that, and were determined to punish me for doing that, and to make an example of me, in order to discourage other people from doing that. It took them two tries, but they pulled it off. The judge in my original trial screwed up and acquitted me, but the Berlin Public Prosecutor’s office didn’t give up. They appealed the verdict — yes, they can do that in Germany — and this morning the Appellate Court overturned the verdict and declared me guilty.

I hope the Germans who know about this case get irony. I suspect many will not. Equally, I hope our own rogue Senators get irony, too. There are emerging signs that they may. Otherwise, we will have the Fourth Reich, down under, as sure as Kristallnacht follows day.

Kerry is complaining that free speech makes it hard to govern.
I think “it should be hard to govern”
is a plus in a free society . Governing sheep is easy.

Another excellent article! I have tried informing Australians since 1999…of the darkness ahead if the degenerate UN corporations WHO/WEF in particular are allowed to rule the world… pretending they are the Natural Rulers just because they are wealthy!
Paul Collits is much more effective! PLEASE SHARE this article far & wide! 👏👏🇦🇺👏👏
